Meditation has many benefits for physical and mental health, such as reducing stress, controlling anxiety, increasing pain tolerance, improving mood and positive outlook. Meditation is also an important practice in Buddhism, aiming to achieve enlightenment by directly seeing the true nature of existence without the intervention of the “ego”. There are many different meditation practices and schools, such as loving-kindness meditation, body scanning meditation, mindfulness meditation, breath awareness meditation, Zen Buddhism, transcendental meditation, etc. You can practice meditation anytime, anywhere, just have a comfortable position and pay attention to your breath or some object.
